Renee started writing lyrics to some of the songs a few years ago. She asked Dave to re-arrange them to fit the music better. Together they co-wrote the majority of the songs. Renee's songwriting inspired Dave to write his own songs, Brotherhood Of Man and Your Smile. The results speak for themselves. Renee asked Dave to describe colours to her and he wrote the recited piece, Colours In My Imagination. That became the inspiration to record the 18 numbers that make up this album and give it the title. Every number recorded on the album tells stories about people, emotions or places that Renee has experienced.

Hollow Tree Brisbane, Australia

Renee started playing her father's drums aged three. A hand percussion jam on a hollow tree with her father brought about the name of the band. Renee writes songs and is a multi-instrumentalist and singer.
David started drumming aged five. He co-founded a blues band in 1966. He started writing songs in 2010. He recently learned guitar and sings.
Hollow Tree is a musical journey for them both. ... more
