about

A song by Australian band Hollow Tree. Written by Renee Kelly. Arranged by David Rowlands and Shaun Carling. It highlights the plight of the homeless youth in Northern Ireland. Renee is an inspiration for all of us because she was born blind.

lyrics

Hope For Me
Another night on my own, another insult, another egg thrown
One day passes, then a week, cry my eyes out, nowhere to sleep
Two in the morning, hard to see, why those people shouting at me
Didn't choose, to live this way, refuse to toss my dignity
Self-respect, a path I choose, easy 'cos, there's nothin' to lose
Family's gone, all alone, walk the streets, hanging on
Trying hard, staying strong, there's no help, won't take long
Hope for me, hope for me, please God find some hope for me
